Cars 1st Birthday Party Plates Featuring Lightning McQueen

Hosting a Cars themed first birthday party is an exciting way to celebrate your little racer’s first milestone birthday! Our popular Disney Pixar Cars Coordinating Party Decorations were designed using bright primary colors, checkered flags and the hugely popular Cars animated characters Lightning McQueen, his friendly side-kick, Tow Mater and their fire-truck hero, Red, who playfully and proudly decorate all of the products. From the invitations and balloons, to the tableware, party favors and decor, this Cars-themed party collection will have guests wanting to race to the party! Below are four fun ways to continue the Cars theme when playing host at your little champion’s 1st birthday bash:

1) Decorate with Checkered Race Flags – Black and white checkered flags, whether in banner form or single flags, are an easy way to complement your Cars-themed first birthday party. There are several places you can decorate with race flags – adorn the entrance of your home to greet guests, dress up a table centerpiece, or add finishing touches to a sweets station by lining a table with checkered pennant flag banners.

2) Create Pit Passes for Partygoers – Welcome parents and kids by giving them their own personalized pit pass into the party. Simply use a checkered background, type in each guest’s name in a white box, print on card stock and trim to size (we recommend 5″ x 7″). Add lanyards using a hole punch so that guests can hang the passes around their necks.

3) Display a Tire Tower Dessert - Using chocolate covered doughnuts, create a stacked tower to resemble a pile of old tires. Place mini toy cars on or around the sugary sweets and put a race flag on top to add fun details to your Cars-themed birthday cake or dessert table treat.

4) Provide a Race-themed Kids Activity - If your party will include preschoolers or small children, provide an activity that is fitting to the Cars theme. Try creating a race track using plastic black tablecovers tape securely to the floor and place yellow lines using construction paper. If outside, you can use your driveway to create a small race track. Line either tracks with orange cones and have kids race small toy cars or electric cars to win race-themed prizes.
